Overview |

This year's 'Musical Theatre Intensive' contains two separate
courses. Gillyanne and Jeremy will be demonstrating how to use
the techniques and processes described in 'Singing and the
Actor' and 'Successful Singing Auditions' with practical
applications for the classroom, studio and rehearsal. |

Description
An audition is a snapshot of where you are right now. This workshop
will help bring you and your performance into focus ready for the
next audition. We will cover the following topics:

We will work
individually with up to 15 performers. Observer places are also
available.
Performer entry by
audition only - send an MD, CD or cassette of 2 contrasting songs
(mp3s to
info@vocalprocess.co.uk are also acceptable). Please include
your CV [students in training may send a recommendation from their
course leader]. Further details will be sent to successful
applicants.

Participants have
subsequently been successful in securing representation, have
received recording contracts, and have been cast in Musicals in the
West End. Younger participants have subsequently gained entry to
Mountview Academy, Guildford School of Acting, the Millennium Drama
Academy and the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama.

Style and Technique
Description
Vocal pedagogue Gillyanne Kayes and performance coach Jeremy Fisher
come together to present a new day seminar on performance practice
in Musical Theatre. The seminar will be invaluable for trainers
working with actors, musical theatre singers and dancers, for those
preparing singers for grade exams, and for those leading youth
theatre groups. We will cover the following topics:

The format will be
part presentation, part group interactive and there will be time for
discussion and questions. The day will end with a demonstration of
the work in practice.

Duration
Successful
Singing Auditions
Comprises two sessions: Starting Friday 6.30pm - 8.30pm and
concluding Saturday 9.30am-6.00pm.
Style and
Technique
Sunday 10.00am - 5.00pm
Applications
Performers should send audition material and CV with an application
form and payment*. You may apply for either modules or both as a
combined course.
* Payments will be
returned to unsuccessful applicants, who will be offered an observer
place.
