'Teaching in
the Studio' forms Unit 8 of the Integrated Voice
certification programme and is open to advanced practitioners
and by invitation only.

singing and voice or for those coaching vocalists in
performance situations.
Day One -

Day Two - Elisabeth Stirling, NLP Master Practitioner
Day One
deals with the theory and practice of excellence in teaching
and is suitable for those who are working one-to-one in the
studio, teaching in a class situation or coaching in
rehearsal. We will address the following issues:

voice profile for client assessment |

How to set and
work towards goals appropriate to your client or client group |

| |
|
How to
identify the causes of vocal difficulties and devise
strategies for dealing with them |

How to
identify different voice types and deal with them
appropriately |
|
|
|
| |
|
How to
identify and address style and performance choices in teaching
and coaching |
The day
includes lessons in camera, followed by a discussion session.
Day Two deals with the
language of communication between you and your student or client
group. During the morning session, Elisabeth will give you a
practical experience of the following concepts identified in NLP
practice:

Eye movements |

Predicates (the different language modalities that we use to
communicate with each other) |

Body language |
|
|
|
| |
|
Circle of excellence (how to be the best you can, including
techniques for anchoring) |
During
the afternoon there will be an opportunity to observe further
lessons in camera, putting the above techniques into practice.
Elisabeth will then introduce the 'feedback sandwich' as part of the
discussion following each lesson.
Duration
Course starts at
10:00 and finishes at 17:00. Lunch is not included.
