Are you equipped to work with
young singers?
Does your school day
include
leading group singing?
Do you need to know how to work
safely with children’s voices?
A child’s voice is
not
the same as an adolescent’s voice.
An adolescent’s voice is not the
same as an adult’s voice.
If you want to safeguard and nurture the
voices of the future,
you need to come on this course!
Child and adolescent
voice researcher Jenevora Williams shares her knowledge with Vocal
Process in a packed day's programme:
The Developing Voice
0-20 in 6 hours.
Singing is becoming a
required part of the school curriculum.
The Music Manifest No 2
Executive Summary states that “Singing offers the most direct route
to providing a music-making experience for all children and young
people, so we believe it should be a central element of the
universal music offer. As a result, we recommend putting group
singing at the heart of all primary school musical activity.”

Here's what people think of the
course
A
great day, I loved every minute of it. 10/10 Excellent!
It
is so useful to have a discussion forum for us singing teachers, who
often work in isolation, to share views, tips, latest research, and
in particular ideas on repertoire for changing voices - as came up
yesterday.
Just
wanted to let you know that I had such a great day on Saturday at
the Developing Voice course.
I've already put some ideas into action so it worked for me!
