Description

Looking at a Voice series of downloadable
voicebox videos from Vocal Process ["stunning shots" The Singer
Magazine]. Each video in the series contains clear footage of a
healthy functioning larynx performing various vocal tasks, both
singing and speaking.
Modal to Falsetto
1 - Making the Change shows the voice flipping between a modal
(speech-like) set and a falsetto set. The "yodel-crack" is clearly
audible and visible. In this video both endoscopic and stroboscopic
video footage are included to show the different movements of the
true vocal folds for each vocal set. The viewer can rewind or pause the video at
any point.
This series has been
devised for singers and speakers wanting to see and hear different
vocal manoeuvres, for SLTs involved in voice and endoscopy, and for
those new to scientific vocal terminology and application.
