Summary
We are putting the
finishing touches to our Musical Theatre Weekend, to be held at the
Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in Glasgow in August.
There will be two courses running concurrently, and places on both
courses will be limited:
Strand One is
for young performers aged 16 and above. This strand contains classes
and personal tuition from
Deirdre Trundle and Matthew Reeve, two of our most experienced
tutors in young solo and ensemble singing. The weekend culminates in
an informal showcase.
Strand
Two is for advanced performers, who wish to improve their
technique, style and acting skills. Gillyanne
and Jeremy will be on hand
with Donna Soto-Morettini
to guide participants through technical solutions, vocal style
changes and successful audition techniques, with masterclasses
and personal attention.
Amazingly, it is now
five years since Gillyanne and Jeremy formed the partnership EVTS UK
to organise and fund Jo Estills visit to the UK in September 1997.
EVTS UK became a limited company in 1999, and grew into Vocal
Process Ltd a year later. To celebrate our success in organising and
funding courses throughout the UK, we are organising a special event
for all our friends and colleagues. Vocal Process Open House is a
half-day for all our friends and new colleagues to come and find out
what we are up to now! Talks and taster workshops from our tutors
will include Changing Voices, Hearing Voices, The Voice of Violence,
Singing and The Actor, and Successful Singing Auditions. And the
best news is, its free! Just let us know if you want to join us,
with by email or on the booking form, and tell your friends.
