History of Vocal Process...
Vocal Process is headed by Gillyanne Kayes and
Jeremy
Fisher. Gillyanne has been creating and teaching public courses
for actors, singers and the general public since 1990. In 1997 she
joined forces with performance coach Jeremy Fisher to promote
courses across the UK, starting with the
hugely successful 8-day international Seminar with Jo Estill at Goldsmiths’
College, London. Numerous training events followed with the venture
becoming a limited company in 1999.
In 2000 the company name was changed to Vocal Process to reflect the
broader remit of educational voice courses desired by our clients.
Tailored courses have since taken Vocal Process all over the UK, to
Europe, the USA and Australasia with private clients coming from as far afield as
Israel, Japan, Canada and Finland.
Vocal Process clients in the education and health sectors include
the DANA Centre (Science Museum) London, The Wellcome Trust, Voice and Laryngectomy SIG Northern Ireland, Central School of
Speech and Drama, Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts, The Music
Room Aberdeen, together with INSET courses in Hertfordshire, Buckinghamshire and Essex. Clients in the USA
include the Universities of Oklahoma, Tulsa and Kansas, and in
Europe, both the Kungliga Musikhgskolan and the Musikpedagogiska in Stockholm, and the Escola
Superior de Musica de Catalunya, Barcelona.
